Hey Loxy, how does that Fernando song go?
Wow!
That's all I have to say.
Well, not really.
Terrific game which could have gone either way. Canes PP and Staal in particular were excellent. Oil PP - well, they got one goal, and, to be honest, it looked better then it has. Hopefully it will get better again on Saturday. Nice shot by Schremp (there's no way that was Hemsky) for the PP goal.
Matt Greene owes Pisani and Markannen dinner. Maybe Staios can help him out with that. It would only be right.
Poor Bob and Harry. At least Bob didn't screw up the starting lineup this time. But its become cruel more then anything. Sad.
Aaron Ward is one tough hombre. He could play for my team any day. Commodore too.
Weight was back on the bench at the third. But I didn't see him play a shift (anyone?) after he was sandwiched early in the third.
Looks like Joe Camel is going to see even more icetime. But he's probably the fittest guy in the league.
Jesus, what a ride!

The song is up.
Enjoy!
Aaron Ward is a great player no doubt. Oilers need to bottle most of tonight and they'll have the loudest fan in the history of ever Saturday.
What a freaking ride.
Sweetness!
yea.. bob and harry had a rough game
they must be 'playing' hurt.
I caught a bit of some of the classics they have been playing and they were awesome.
That's what makes it sadder.
Cole blows every penalty call - wrong player, wrong call, a few times the wrong team.
I think this must have been what it was like to see Willie Mays play for the Mets

This is why blogs are awesome-you read such ripping commentary on people. Can you imagine reading that in a paper? I emailed Dennis' comment about Huddy reaching over and nailing Green with chloroform to people because it's so on the nose. Good stuff.
I believe that I heard the two old men say something about Toronto getting a penalty? Was that my hearing?
For one entire shift, Bob Cole was calling Staal, Stoll. Neale finally corrected him. Yeesh.
Oh fun times for Cole. Coming soon:
Eric Cole
Eric Staal
Jared Staal
Jarret Stoll
Jordan Staal
Jamie Storr
There's no way they'll get those names straight.
blackdog, you've been asking everywhere whether Weight played after being hit. I don't know if anyone has given you an answer yet, but this shift chart shows that he didn't.
des - thanks for the answer - I don't remember seeing him out there even though he was on the bench at the end of the third
I have to believe this is Cole's swan song although the way the CBC is shedding talent he may be calling games until they lose the rights.
yeah, can't say i'm unhappy that award and dweight are a little (more than) banged up. its clear that the oil have had to work with injuries and illness to many of their players on this run (incl Pisani since G1).
If Ward does play, must hit him again. Hedican looked pretty beat up too. Hit him too. Finally, check out the vidcap on the OLN site, Cam Ward takes a pretty good intentional swipe at an Oiler player who is skating to the mob around Pisani. I'd say you wanna get Smytty or Harvey all up in his grill too.
